La Linda｜A Valley Where Pure Flavors Are Born
Located in the mountainous region of Caranavi, Bolivia, La Linda is managed by the Rodriguez family, pioneers of Bolivia’s specialty coffee movement.
Situated at approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, the estate lies within a valley blessed with abundant sunlight, cool nights, and fertile soils. These conditions allow coffee cherries to mature slowly, encouraging the development of refined sweetness and a clean, layered cup profile.
The name La Linda means “the beautiful one” in Spanish. Beyond describing the natural beauty surrounding the estate, the name also reflects the Rodriguez family’s vision for Bolivian specialty coffee.
For many years, the Rodriguez family has not only managed their own estates but has also worked through their Agricafeprogram to help neighboring coffee producers improve cultivation and post-harvest processing techniques. By promoting improved varieties and higher-quality production, they have played an important role in helping Bolivian coffee regain recognition on the global specialty coffee stage.

A Specialty Variety with Elegance and Long-Term Potential
Although the name Java originates from the Indonesian island of Java, its genetic lineage can be traced back to ancient Arabica populations from Ethiopia. Over time, the variety gained attention in Central and South America for its combination of excellent disease resistance and outstanding cup quality.
Today, Java has become one of the most representative specialty coffee varieties in Bolivia, with many estates recognizing its ability to express the unique characteristics of their terroir.
The greatest appeal of Java lies in its refined and elegant flavor profile. It is often associated with delicate floral aromas, bergamot and citrus notes, honey and brown-sugar sweetness, as well as a tea-like character reminiscent of black or green tea. Its acidity is bright yet gentle, while its clean, transparent mouthfeel allows the subtle characteristics of high-altitude terroir to shine through.
