In my first article, I mentioned that I hope Billy Roasters can use the flavor of coffee from the perspective of a coffee roaster to interpret the attitudes of more craftsmen.
I think this is an artistic creation presented in the form of roasted beans, and also a romantic expression. This may sound very abstract: imagine a store, a brand, or even anything or anyone that is run with care, if it is transformed into a cup of coffee, what will the flavor be?
It's going to be exciting to let craftspeople express their passion and imagination for their profession, and then combine it with my expertise to transform various coffee flavors! This project will also allow people who come to Billy Roaster to buy coffee beans to learn about different shops and brands, and to discover new things through coffee tasting. Sounds fun, right? It's like going to an art museum to see exhibitions and works by different creators, but you have to brew and brew the coffee yourself, enjoying it through drinking. For me, this is something that's captivating and something I want to continue doing.
Before I founded my brand, I'd discussed this idea in depth with many of my close friends who also had their own brands. Now, I've finally fulfilled the promise I made years ago with LZD (Lazy to Choose Something), to create a completely unique coffee flavor that's theirs, ours.

This time, Ethiopian sun-dried and Costa Rican white honey were used to reflect the lazy spirit and feeling that the LZD founder wanted to express.
The citrus and cinnamon notes of Costa Rican white honey, like a slightly darker base, are complemented by the berry notes of Ethiopian sun-dried coffee, like a brilliant paint. The flavor profile is berry-y, slightly acidic, and with a touch of lactic acid, creating a lightness reminiscent of the languid LZD. The combination of the two beans creates a surprising mango flavor on the finish, leaving a delightful finish that echoes the soothing yellow color scheme of the store.
